2011′s Worst Fashion Victims

Here is Fashionscandal.com’s second much-awaited list of the terrible-terrible fashion victims of 2011. This LIST too has been compiled from the suggestions made by readers and the names that appeared the most has been featured.

The first bunch of Fashion Victims are those who don’t dress their age. Gracefully ageing is so much more classy than acting like a Teeny-Bopper when you are fifty. Ramola Bachchan, Neeta Lulla and Reynu Taandon tops this list. Ramola Bachchan needs to do get rid of that scarlet red lipstick. It is too taarty! She also wears dresses that don’t compliment her body. What’s the point in showing those podgy knees and rolls of flesh around the armpit in shot dresses or off-shoulder ones? High time  Neeta Lulla should gets rid of that fringe she has been sporting for decades. And she too has this habit of dressing up like a teeny-bopper. Reynu Taandon loves to wear her own creations, which may look nice on young women but definitely not on her own self. And yes she needs to look less caked-up on the face.

Then we have horrors like Anjalee Kapoor. She totally ignores what clothes suit her body-type and wears clothes that reveals all the flab at wrong places. Anjalee Kapoor seriously needs some professional fashion advice. Madam Tanisha Mohan should know money can’t buy her style. She has very broad-shoulders and extraordinarily flat derriere but still loves to wear off-shoulder numbers that show her masculine broad shoulders. Those Herve Leger dresses that she loves doesn’t flatter her figure, rather exposes the flat derriere. Priya Sachdev (Or is she still carrying the Chatwal name???) doesn’t have a flawless, smooth and taut armpits but she somehow loves to wear clothes that bare those unsightly armpits. I had mentioned this earlier but then she thinks she is a Diva.

Genelia D’Souza may have a baby-face charm but she has major cellulite problem and hence should refrain from wearing anything short that bares the orange-peel effect on her thighs. Queenie Singh may be a fashion icon to many but as I always believe – ‘money can’t buy you style’ – the expensive designer labels can’t make her look good. She looks kinda haggard, all pulled up and sorry to say, very masculine. Laila Khan Furniturewala and Natasha Khan too look hideous in form-fitted clothes as both don’t really have a figure to flaunt. And Preity Zinta…she is curve-less. I don’t see a waist. Zinta should stick to A-Line silhouettes!

Reputed film-critic Rajeev Masand has started a concept called ‘Blind Item’ in his weekly column in the Open Magazine. Internationally Tabloids and Bloggers have been dishing out ‘Blind-Items’ to reveal ugly underbelly of the celebrities. The ‘Blind Item’ is basically a scandalous or a gossipy piece on a Bollywood personality where Masand refrains from taking the name of the person on whom the piece is but provides good enough hints to the readers to decipher who he/she is. Mumbai Daily – DNA too has taken to this fad and publishes a scandalous piece but without taking names. But we at 108.168.206.104/~fashions/ do not believe in ‘Blind Items’. We go all the way!

Bollywood Basket, a spicy Blog on B-Town has taken to ‘Blind Item Mania’ and published this piece, which even a blind can say is on Preity Zinta.

Blind item mania!

 The train wreck.

This once A-lister female actress who has been out of work for a couple of years after a failed serious relationship with an illustrious member of Bombay’s financial fraternity, has taken very seriously to drugs. Once a household name for her ferocious independence and vivacious image, she is very quickly and steadily descending into the “forgotten” category.

The story goes that her come-back vehicle, a cheesy romance film, which she is producing herself, being shot in Europe, with a new model turned actor for the hero, has been running into major production trouble.

70% of the crew has quit in the very first schedule and are known to have been demanding to be flown back to India due to the lack of organization, a number of heads of production fired – there is nobody to take the blame, because apparently madam producer has frequent foul mood swings and is constantly taking short breaks to run to the bathroom or to her trailer (sniff, sniff), and appears soon after as a completely different person, but there is no real brain coordinating the production of the film. The crew that has quit has been receiving calls from the hapless director and the lead actor of the film, almost begging them to return to salvage whatever little they can from the situation.

It is to be believed that in the rushes of the film the actress is looking almost 10 years older than her real age and the script doesn’t seem to be holding itself together, all combined with this new model /actor opposite her gives out the aura of a premature mid life crisis that the actress maybe going through.

Sources from an international film that the actress was a part of a few years ago, suggest that she was pulled up for her constant sniffing by the director (she would appear with white powder trickling from her nose) – she was immediately barred from all narcotic activities on set. The film however, was a flop, adding another feather to the actress’ dwindling career.

Other industry sources claim that she comes from a group of elite socialites, that include other A-list actors , that are known for having wild parties with generous supplies of good quality drugs at the venues which are usually the bungalows or homes of these people, some even suggest that her ex-boyfriend used to be the one supplying (due to political & business connections at high places) to the elite coke-heads of Bombay.

This a small insight to the otherwise dark, drug-laden, insecure place that the Bombay film industry stands for, it is too well decorated for anyone to see the real dramas of the existences of so called super stars in this day and age.

PZ Flashes a Camel-toe

Preity Zinta is on a promotion spree for her latest film that is also produced by her – Ishq in Paris. She was in the Capital to promote her movie as well as promote some jewelery.

Anyway that’s not what I am talking about. Preity Zinta wore a pair of red denims and the crotch was bit too tight creating a Camel-toe effect. It’s a major fashion faux-pas PZ. Hope next time you wear something little roomy!

Simrin_Manav_Preity_MilanPreity Zinta;Roberto CavalliPreity Zinta may be missing from Bollywood but was spotted at Milan Fashion Week last night. Is she going the ‘Sonam Kapoor’ way??? Well PZ was with Manav Gangwani, designer cum luxury biz (Infinite Luxury) entrepreneur at the Roberto Cavalli show.

Preity Zinta_ChicDressed in a jacket cinched at the waist over a slit-skirt, Preity Zinta looked chic. In the photograph that was taken outside Cavalli show the other girl with Manav Gangwani and Preity Zinta is Simrin Choudrie in a fur coat. The trio were heading for the Pucci show next.

So will it be ‘Fashionista in Milan’ by Preity Zinta after ‘Ishq in Paris’??? By the way what happened to ‘Ishq in Paris’? Any news about it guys???

Here we see Preity Zinta sitting next to Janet Jackson in the front-row at the Cavalli show. Hope she isn’t thinking about a career in singing a-la Priyanka Chopra…

sanjay-duttIf 2012 was a great year for the Indian Movie Industry aka Bollywood, what with films setting new Box Office records by grossing over Rs.100 Crores, Rs. 200 Crores and out-of-the-box movies like Barfi, Kahani and Gangs of Wasseypur not only getting critical acclaim but turning to be a hit at the Box Office too.

Sanjay Dutt was convicted by Supreme Court in the 1993 Mumbai Blast Case and was sentenced to 5-years imprisonment. Today the age-old Black-Buck case in Jodhpur that had indicted Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Tabu will be heard in the court and possible judgement would be pronounced. Salman Khan’s hit-and-run case is still sub-judice and he has a new case to deal with where fishermen have accused Salman Khan and his bodyguards of manhandling, threatening and causing damage to property. This small fishermen’s colony is just opposite the new bungalow that Sallu bhai has purchased.

Preity-Zinta-1sonali bendreThen we have Preity Zinta’s run-in with the Enforcement Directorate who recently probed her on the source of funds that she had invested in her IPL Team. Of course there are zillion of unverified reports of fimstars’ run-in with the law. Like recently it was reported that Saif Ali Khan manhandled a CISF man who asked him to vacate the VIP Lounge at the Lucknow Airport or Bipasha Basu being stopped at the Customs for carrying in undeclared valuables…

I think as we celebrate the 100 years of Indian Cinema, all the pending cases against our film stars should come to conclusion. It would be ideal way to celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema.

ShraddhaKapoor_Knicker FlashLatest Bollywood entrant and star-daughter, Shraddha Kapoor recently had a fashion faux-pas moment. At a function, Shraddha wore a black sequined short dress and flesh-toned knickers. Couldn’t really understand the colour choice for the underwear. Wouldn’t black been the apt colour??? Anyway wearing contrast colour panty was a hidden fashion blunder on Shraddha Kapoor’s part but flashing them while sitting definitely was a blatant fashion faux-pas. I fail to understand why can’t they sit ‘propah’ while wearing a short dress.

Preity Zinta_Belly BulgeMy dearest Preity Zinta has been busy with IPL and is judiciously present at all the King’s XI Punjab’s matches. She relegiously dons custom-made Kings XI logoed tops and salwar-kameezs. But at one of the recent matches I discovered that PZ has let her belly grow. Must be relieved after PVR agreed to distribute her Ishq In Paris, Preity must be indulging in Punjab’s butter-chicken and dal-makhani. In the picture here PZ’s belly-bulge is very prominent. Poor girl wasn’t aware of the camera on her or else she would had taken a deep breath and sucked in her tummy.

The photograph looks like one from those multitude Mumbai fashion shows where Bollywood stars walk the ramp. It must be a real candid shot of Zinta probably taken during reahearsals or must be some new Yoga Aasan that keep her legs in shape.

Wonder why Farah Khan and Reitesh Deshmukh are pushed back to the not-so-VIP second row.

Kings XI Punjab logo.svg What Is The Future of Kings XI Punjab Team NOW? So what happens to the Indian Premier League (IPL) team – Kings XI Punjab post the Zinta – Ness fracas? After all the drama it is unlikely that Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia can carry on as co-owners of the team along with Mohit Burman. One of them has to buy out the other’s stake. Conspiracy Theorists say that the whole fracas is aimed at one designing to sell-out at a premium because of financial crunch.

Anyway, personally feel that the complaint filed by Priety Zinta against Ness Wadia shouldn’t have had Section 354 applied  on it. As per Preity’s side of the story it was more of threats, abusive language and criminal intimidation. Was is molestation? 30th May, the day the said incident happened was Ness Wadia’s birthday and whatever little CCTV footage shown on TV clearly show Ms. Zinta is hogging the first-row in the Garware Box while Wadia family who have bigger stake in the IPL team stuck to the last row. Zinta could had been graceful and accommodate co-owner’s family. Still it doesn’t justify the behavior that Preity alleged against Ness. Whatever little I have known Ness Wadia, he comes across as a gentleman but then don’t know much about how ex boyfriend-girlfriend behave.

One thing I find fishy. Why Preity Zinta have to fly out to Los Angeles within 48-hours of her filing the complaint? It is not that she is making any movie and she had committed dates to the producer. In fact sources say that her boyfriend is in LA.

By the way, (again as per reliable sources), Ness Wadia is to be engaged soon to an Italian former model Hanna. This news was doing the rounds and Ness and Hanna were seen together. Did it irk Ms. Zinta? Anyway now since there is no CCTV footage with police, they have to rely upon eye-witnesses and I was surprised when Preity Zinta’s most strongest supporter, Salman Khan absolutely dodged the question and did not take sides. In fact Bollywood is diplomatic and carry the opinion that the issues should have bee sorted internally.

Anyway Kings XI Punjab’s future is daisy. Does Preity Zinta have the moolah to buy out Ness Wadia’s stake? Even if she has or gets some financer, will Wadia sell his stake because now it will be an ego issue too. Wadddyyyaaa Say???

So PZ got permission to flyback to Los Angeles from Mumbai Police. 4th of July is a big thing in America and why should Preity miss it when her boyfriend, friends and family are in the US.

Cops are still trying. Among other witnesses presented by PZ – her makeup man – Jai Kanojia really won’t be taken seriously as an impartial witness. By the way I was pretty amused to discover that Preity took her makeup man during the matches. Really you need touch-up in a stadium???

He’s got some aura and he is Akash Aurora. This buddy is a pillar of strength for PZ and he made a killing during IPL 2 when he got the Digital Rights of the season for peanuts for his then Dubai based company-Netlink. Akash Aurora also came in as a sponsor for PZ’s team – Kings XI but then never paid up. Aurora did not really had a liking for Ness Wadia even when Preity was seeing Ness.

So when mommy, brother, boyfriend and chuddy-buddy are all in Los Angeles it’s natural that Preity Zinta will find LA a more familiar ground. Ness Wadia meanwhile is sticking to his guns and saying allegations made by Zinta are false. Seems facts will take time to unfurl. Ohhh…I just wish PZ doesn’t go the Mallika Sherawat way who god-knows does what in LA but is perennially there and is gatecrashing A-list parties and then Tweeting her selfies with Hollywood Stars. Mallika has a very rich ‘sugar-daddy’ so she’s having a ball in Beverly Hills. Even Zinta got herself clicked with Tom Cruise and buddy Akash Aurora.
